Students receive 2 practical PE lessons per week. They are taught a range of different sports and activities to cover all areas of the national curriculum.
In addition they are taught aspects of the GCSE PE curriculum in preparation for KS4.
Students receive a minimum of 2 PE lessons per week.
Year 10 and 11’s are studying the GCSE PE full course where they are assessed practically over the course of the year. They must be assessed on 4 different sports which contribute to 60% of their final grade. Within the practical grade they must also complete a personal exercise plan (PEP).
They will then sit the GCSE PE theory paper in the summer which will count for the other 40% of their final grade.
